PostSubject: German: Gewehr-98 Rifle Barrel and Shell Casings, circa 1916 (RELICS)   Tue Jun 01, 2010 1:31 pm

These are some battlefield relics of mine. Here, I'm showing a German Gewehr-98 rifle barrel and corresonding ammo casings. The barrel is bent in a rather strange way and I am not really sure how it assumed such a figure. If you look closely, there is still a round chambered, though it has been demilled and is no longer primed. Also pictured are the corresponding 7.92x57mm shell casings, complete with the "stipper clip" guide, as demonstrated in "Shell Casing 2".
